Nightlight Bar & Club

405 West Rosemary Street, Chapel Hill

LITU: Permanent Futures will be a one-night only, 8-hour immersive, durational performance installation from collaborators Ginger Wagg (Wild Actions) and Mike Dimpfl (DJ Mike D). The piece marks the near 2-year anniversary and a culmination of a multi-performance, site-responsive work focusing on the trash and waste we are always trying to -- but can never quite -- leave behind.

Nightlight Bar & Club will be a giant trash next and mazer - stuffed with trash, filled with the live sound eco-system of MARV ((Geoff Schilling & Nathan Taylor, Carrboro)) and the live lighting design of Patience ((devised theater maker, Chapel Hill))

Viewers are encouraged to walk through the performance space multiple times over the course of the evening as the performers transform and are transformed by their surroundings

At noon, we will arrive and begin setting up the mountains and stockpiles of trash. At midnight we will have taken it all down. In between you can try to make your way through it and watch the transformation of objects and bodies, light and sound.
